Christopher Budd was born and raised north of Toronto in the town of Caledon. Growing up in the country, Chris was always involved in team sports and outdoor activities. While working towards an Honours in Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University, Chris also played for varsity rugby team and represented Laurier on the pitch for three years.

After graduation, Chris opened up his own strategy and operations consulting firm.  To this day, Chris has worked with over 100 different clients, big and small from variety of industries During most of his everyday dealings, Chris preaches standardization, thorough due diligence, streamlining and effectiveness to all of his clients. Believing in these models, Chris approaches the investment opportunities Totem engages in with the same mind set.  Currently he is working towards an MBA through Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Chris hopes to expand his knowledge base in Investment Banking and Corporate Strategy, then apply these lessons learned to help better all of Totems portfolio's, Investor's, and Tenant's needs. 

A bit of a globe trotter, Chris regularly travels throughout North America for work and has spent extended periods of time in Western Europe and Australia. These experiences have helped Chris forge a globalized opinion on economics and regional real estate investments opportunities.

Steve Dao

Steve Dao grew up in the once small town of Bowmanville, however has grown to love and embody the city life in Toronto. Steve attended Wilfrid Laurier University, graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Business, while competing as a Varsity Athlete with their Men's Volleyball team.

Since his days at Laurier, his career has encompassed a focus on Sales & Marketing. Spanning from niche Brands & Ventures through to International Business and Global Initiatives, Steve has had exposure and success through a variety of industries. 

It is with this knowledge that he plans to offer investors the best strategies to market their properties and establish presence in a market.  He is passionate about helping investors establish their Brand, among current and potential tenants in a specific marketplace.  Steve's experience will be instrumental in refining the Sales process to help identify suitable prospects. He hopes to create a holistic and user-friendly experience for tenants looking to discover the home of their dreams. 

Away from his career, Steve spends much of his time active, whether at the gym, playing sports, or giving back to the community through coaching amateur sport.

Derek Saliba

Derek Saliba was raised in the suburban city of Mississauga. Active from a very young age, when Derek wasn’t in school, he could often be found in an arena or on a field. He continued many of these sports, most notably lacrosse when he moved to Waterloo to attend Wilfrid Laurier University. After graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Business degree, he moved home to Mississauga before purchasing his first property and moving to downtown Toronto. 

Derek has spent most of his professional life in the Investment industry and has experience working in both U.S. and Canadian businesses. It is this keen interest in investing that first brought Real Estate to his attention. 

As an Investor and home owner, Derek quickly learned that if your real estate dealings are the most complex part of your life, you're not doing it right!  Anyone can make their Real Estate dealings less stressful and easier to manage by partnering with a knowledgeable team with proven systems. This creates more time, and allows for more energy to be spent on what’s truly important in life.

Derek likes to spend most of his free time in the gym, reading or travelling, and has taken up scuba diving to open up a whole new part of the world to see.
